## Summary

Grok Bot is an always-on agent product: you message named Bots like coworkers; they use connectors/MCP when available and computer-use/browser when not; they keep memory, skills, and routines; multiple Bots coordinate via messaging and group chats. Access is limited to SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium (enterprise waitlist).

## What it is

- A **Bot** = one persistent, named agent/teammate (docs definition).
- Not the same as "Grok model inside Cursor IDE" (common YouTube confusion).
- Codename historically associated with Cursor "Sand" in some reporting.
- Competes in the agent-computer category with Claude Cowork / computer use, ChatGPT Work / agents, Perplexity Computer, OpenClaw-style systems (press framing).

## Core functionality

### Cloud computer

- Persistent Linux VM with browser, filesystem (`/workspace`), terminal.
- **All Bots on an account share one computer** (files, cookies, logins shared). Each Bot has its own screen, not a separate security boundary.
- Work continues when the laptop/app is closed.
- Prefer connectors/Plugins when available; fall back to computer use for apps without clean API/MCP.

### Messaging & multi-bot

- Chat from desktop and iOS; same thread across surfaces.
- Bots can message each other and coordinate in group chats; Chief-of-Staff + specialists is the recommended internal pattern.

### Memory & learning

- Durable memory, preferences, browser sessions across turns.
- Teach-by-demonstration → skill/routine (up to ~10 min, no mic audio).
- Skills = reusable how-to; routines = schedule or event-triggered runs.
- Up to 50 routines per Bot; 20 recent run records kept per routine.

### Approvals

- Auto-review for tool/computer actions; Allow once / Deny / Always allow.
- Passwords/2FA/CAPTCHA/payment via human takeover of Agent Computer — never paste secrets in chat.
- Local Mac/Windows execution is separate and default Ask every time.

### Configuration (high level)

- Eligible plan + desktop app (macOS/Windows per official get-started; iOS available). Official docs: Linux desktop app not currently available (press often claims Linux — treat as disputed).
- Sign in with Cursor account (SSO applies for orgs).
- Create focused Bots (name, job, description with boundaries).
- Connectors: Settings → Plugins.
- Up to 50 Bots + group chats combined; no user/admin model picker.

### Documented use-case templates

Sales Outbound, Talent Scout, Paid Media, Expense Manager, Product Performance, Bug Reproduction, Account Health, Chief of Staff — prepare/draft first, then approve send/change.

## Access & pricing (launch reporting)

- SuperGrok Heavy ~$300/mo
- Cursor Ultra ~$200/mo
- Cursor Premium/Teams Premium ~$120/seat/mo
- Enterprise: waitlist
- Android: coming soon

## Open questions / contradictions

1. **Linux desktop:** Official get-started says no Linux desktop app; several press pieces list Linux.
2. **"Own computer" vs shared:** Marketing often says each Bot has its own computer; docs clarify one user-scoped shared computer with per-Bot screens.
3. **Model routing:** Users reportedly cannot choose underlying models; automatic router.
4. **Training / retention details:** Point to Cursor Privacy Policy / security pages; Legacy Privacy Mode blocked.
